Carlo Franco Menswear was started in Rome, Italy, as a labor of love. We fell in love with the quality and beauty of the whole Italian culture, but in particular, the great care and skill that they apply to their clothing.
So we set out to find the finest silks in all the land- well, at least in Italy, which we happen to think are the best anywhere.
We finally found them in Como, on the shores of the lovely lake Como, which lies on the northern border of Italy, just to the south of the Swiss Alps. We believe it is the fresh, clean mountain water, along with real vegetable dyes, that makes the colors of our silks so vivid. All our silks are woven there, in Como, to our specifications. You don't have to worry about running into someone else wearing the same tie, because we have exclusives on all of our designs.
The woven silks are then shipped to various points around Italy to craftsmen (and women!) who lovingly construct them by hand. Each tie from our signature collection has a card, hand-signed by the artisan who made it for you.
We have also dabbled in shirts, as well as a few other products. But we love our ties. If you sign up for our newsletter, we'll let you know when we occasionally offer other items in which you may be interested. We also have some inventory, such as our bow ties, that are not part of the "regular" inventory rotation, but have been a big hit with the bow tie crowd!
